Welcome to the Jungle- RedPeak's Second Annual Leadership Conference

Remember that feeling of nervous excitement on the first day of school? The promise of new knowledge, fresh connections, and the chance to be part of something bigger? That’s exactly what filled the air at the second annual RedPeak Leadership Conference, themed “Welcome to the Jungle, Hear Us Roar!”. This two-day event brought together our incredible team of Managers and Supervisors from across all our communities and was a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and connect as a RedPeak family. 

Day 1: Kicking Off with Inspiration and Collaboration 

The conference roared to life as we welcomed national speaker Mark Cukro for an engaging and inspiring presentation. Cukro’s session focused on the power of exceptional maintenance operations and fostering a service culture that goes above and beyond. His insights resonated deeply with our team, leaving everyone feeling motivated to create truly amazing resident experiences. 

The afternoon offered a chance for focused learning through breakout sessions. Community Managers dove deep on safari into the impactful book QBQ: The Question Behind the Question, fostering a culture of personal accountability – the kind of accountability that helps us navigate any jungle we enter. Service Supervisors continued their deep dive with Cukro, honing their coaching skills to empower their teams. 

Speed Dating for Continuous Improvement 

A unique highlight of the conference was our “speed dating” session. This innovative format allowed department heads to connect directly with Community Managers and Service/Maintenance Supervisors. It was a valuable opportunity for open communication, as department heads gained valuable insights into the daily experiences and continuous improvement opportunities within our communities. 

Celebrating Achievements and Building Connections 

The day culminated in a problem-solving session followed by a lively social hour. Here, we celebrated our achievements and enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation while our conference sponsors joined in on the fun and mingling. The talented Ryan Aids provided beautiful live entertainment, while a fun photo booth captured the night’s spirit. Dinner featured a special Hot Ones wing challenge with Bobby Hutchinson and Faith Aids, adding a touch of friendly competition as they answered questions from Lori Snider. 

Day 2: Sharpening Our Skills and Embracing the Future 

Day two focused on professional development symbolizing a transformation from cub to lion. Community Managers honed their presentation skills and professional presence with a session led by national presenter Rommel Anacan. 

By the conference’s close, the energy was electric! We wrapped up feeling energized, inspired, and ready to take the learnings back to our teams. This conference was a powerful testament to the dedication and collaborative spirit that defines RedPeak.
