The Denver Foundation Announces Fall 2024 Make Your Mark Scholarship Recipients

The Denver Foundation and Mark Windhager, CEO of RedPeak, are pleased to announce the Fall 2024 recipients of its Make Your Mark Scholarship. This scholarship fund, founded by Windhager in 2022, offers participants the opportunity to further their higher education schooling through financial assistance. The Make Your Mark Scholarship Fund is available to the RedPeak community including current full-time RedPeak employees, immediate family members of RedPeak employees along with RedPeak residents.

This year, two students of the University of Denver and two of the Metropolitan State University of Denver were selected based on applications rooted in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and scholastic potential for success in their chosen fields.

“As a full-time graduate student who also works 20-30 hours a week, this award makes a huge difference in my ability to complete additional fieldwork and focus on developing as a social worker,” said a recipient, thanking The Denver Foundation for “the opportunity and support of my passions.” Another thanked the Foundation, expressing “Your generosity has relieved a significant burden and allows me to fully immerse myself in my coursework and research.”

The goal of the Make Your Mark Scholarship is to help empower the most innovative and hardworking changemakers within the RedPeak community to flourish in Colorado and make a future impact on society. “My hope is that this scholarship will help others find their passions and connect our community with that education to pursue those passions,” says Windhager. The funds will be directly disbursed to the recipient’s university and can be applied toward tuition, fees, housing, books, or other essential educational expenses.
