Spooks and Spice... Oh My!

As the spooktacular spirit of Halloween filled the air, RedPeak’s home office transformed into a culinary battleground, where our chili-loving team members unleashed their fiery creations. Amidst a delightfully eerie atmosphere, the annual chili cook-off unfolded, a testament to our team’s passion for bold flavors and friendly competition. Team members brought their A-game, showcasing a diverse range of red, green, and white chilis, each simmering with secret spices and culinary magic. 

Michael Gerkhardt, a newcomer to the chili cook-off, took home the title of Best Red Chili, dethroning the previous year’s champion, Faith Aids. Shaun Stansall, an undefeated chili maestro, claimed victory for the Best Green Chili, marking his third consecutive win in this category. And finally, Mark Windhager’s classic southern recipe earned him the newly introduced Best White Chili award. 

In a separate battle for best Halloween costume, the “Spice Girls” were present along with the cast of “Ted Lasso,” Vanilla Ice as “Ice Ice Baby” and a fierce lama. With the most votes by a landslide, the Ted Lasso Crew of HR brought home the trophy. The Halloween costume contest was a fun-filled addition to the chili cook-off, and it showcased the creativity and sense of humor of our team members.
