Make Your Mark Scholarship 2023-2024

Company Initiatives Responsibility

For the second year in a row, RedPeak’s CEO, Mark Windhager, is proud to introduce the Make Your Mark Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund offers participants the opportunity to further their higher education schooling through financial assistance. The Make Your Mark Scholarship Fund is available to the RedPeak community including current full-time RedPeak employees, immediate family members of RedPeak employees along with RedPeak residents.

The goal with the Make Your Mark Scholarship is to help empower the most innovative and hardworking changemakers within the RedPeak community to flourish in Colorado and make a future impact on society. This year, the scholarship award will range from $2,500 to $10,000, determined based on factors such as the program enrolled in and the strength of the application. The funds will be directly disbursed to the recipient’s university, college, or accredited vocational school and can be applied towards tuition, fees, housing, books, or other essential educational expenses.

RedPeak CEO, Mark Windhager, shared, “My summer experiences working in construction framing houses during my college years helped me discover my passions and led me to a fulfilling career in real estate development and investment. This ignited a spark within me to build and create. Founding RedPeak in 2001 was an extension of this passion, enabling me to construct a company from the ground up and cultivate a culture that has been our cornerstone through the years. Today, I am thrilled to introduce the continuation of the Make Your Mark Scholarship Fund to the RedPeak community. My hope is that this scholarship will empower others to uncover their passions and bridge the gap between our community and the education required to pursue those passions.”

The Make Your Mark Scholarship program is administered by The Denver Foundation, a renowned organization with expertise in scholarship administration. The Denver Foundation will conduct comprehensive interviews with applicants and carefully select up to five recipients each year to receive the Make Your Mark Scholarship Fund. Recipients will be selected through a competitive process based on the applicant’s academics, extracurricular activities and leadership, and scholastic potential for success in their field.

Scholarship awards will be paid directly to a recipient’s college, university, or accredited trade school, and can be applied toward tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, board, and additional cost of attendance expenses.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit their applications between December 1st, 2023 and March 1st, 2024, possessing a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, candidates will be evaluated based on rigorous criteria encompassing academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and the potential to make a transformative impact within the community.

Windhager and The Denver Foundation were pleased to reward $5,000 to five deserving individuals last year, making a difference in their education path and development.
