We are proud to announce that 1280 Lafayette Apartments has been honored with the Apartment Association of Metro Denver’s (AAMD) Most Impactful Community Renovation Tribute Award. This prestigious accolade, awarded only once every three years, recognizes exceptional renovation projects within Denver’s multifamily industry that significantly enhance the resident living experience. This award specifically celebrates communities that elevate functionality through innovative improvements, engaging design, and thoughtful execution. We are incredibly proud of how this renovation has not only transformed our community but also energized the surrounding neighborhood. Check out the changes below!
From Ordinary to Exceptional
The Renovation
Renovation scope included main floor and basement renovations, exterior elevations including new canopy, balcony railings and outdoor patio area. Three main focus areas were: filling in the existing pool and adding 3 units to the basement level along with a new fitness center, resident storage and gender-neutral bathroom, main level expansion with new package/mail center, additional gender neutral restroom, meeting rooms and clubroom including all new storefront system, and exterior canopy, painting of the exterior, addition of ADA access ramp and outdoor patio amenity.

The Results
With over $2.5 million spent in reinvestment into the units and common area, 1280 Lafayette is now a place residents are not only proud to call home, but also serves as a space residents can successfully work from. With over 2/3s of the resident base working hybrid or 100% remote, there is rarely a day the common areas do not feel like your neighborhood Starbucks, thanks to the thoughtful, innovative design of the space.
