Volunteering with Family Homestead

Each fall, RedPeak Team Members volunteer their time and industry knowledge to help Family Homestead, a local non-profit organization that offers emergency and transitional housing for homeless families in Denver.

You may be curious what RedPeak did this year?  Well, aside from our paint covered jeans and minor bumps and scrapes, we refurbished two apartments for two families who needed homes immediately.  In short, we completed work orders such as installing new blinds and window screens, fixing doors, adding fresh paint and working on other minor repairs to get the homes ready for their new residents.

Mark Windhager, Chief Operating Officer, was one of our volunteers, and said, “[I am] very proud of all the RedPeak Team Members who gave their time and skills to make a better living environment for those who are truly needy.  Our relationship with Family Homestead is an important part of our ‘People’ part of RedPeak’s sustainability mission.”

Needless to say, we cannot wait to partner up with Family Homestead in 2013!
