Things To Do For Valentine’s Day 2015
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we have celebration suggestions!
We’ve got you covered, no matter your relationship status.
Club Vinyl Dance the night away on Friday at Valentines Fiesta featuring DJ LE, Kachando, DJ Cesar and DJ Ricky. A wide variety of music —including Latin House, Hip Hop, R&B and Salsa— and a kissing contest (with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes) promises to keep things spicy. Tickets cost $10 to $20 and are available at the door.
Denver Center for the Performing Arts Nothing says Valentine’s Day like a good ol’ fashioned fairy tale, especially Cinderella. See Rogers + Hammerstein’s Tony award-winning musical, complete with a live orchestra, at The Buell Theatre. Tickets for Saturday’s show start at $20.
Humboldt Farm Fish Wine Take advantage of the restaurant’s Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu, which is $55 per person and includes your pick of three small plates, four large plates and two desserts. A la carte champagne and wine specials will also be available with dinner.
Range In addition to its traditional weekend menu, Range will be offering a surf ‘n turf special for two for $80. Though the meal includes two glasses of sparkling wine, you might consider starting the evening with a visit to the Renaissance Denver Downtown’s lobby, where you can enjoy the sounds of a live jazz trio while sipping on sparkling cocktails on special at the Teller Bar.
The 13th Floor Haunted House For two nights only (Friday and Saturday), this haunted house will host Valentine X– a candlelit night of horror. Come face to face with the Bear Butcher and his chainsaw as the murderer unites his copycats with those who have adulterous sins. General admission tickets are $25, but for $35 you can reserve your 15-minute time block, show up and go directly to the Fast Pass line.
