St. Patrick’s Day Weekend 2015

With St. Patrick’s Day’s falling on a Tuesday, the fun kicks off a bit early this year.

Put on your best green attire and take part in these popular festivities this weekend!

Keggs and Eggs at Lodo’s Bar & Grill

Enjoy a boozy breakfast at 7 a.m on Friday, March 13 at Lodo’s downtown location. This 10th annual event will also feature live music by Dirty Heads, 3OH!3, Brick+Mortar, and One Flew West.

Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade

This parade –the city’s largest annual parade and the biggest one west of the Mississippi— starts bright and early at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14. Irish-themed floats and marching bands, as well as dancers, horses and stagecoaches will wind their way through downtown. A crowd of 200,000 people is expected to watch the 200+ entries and 10,000 marchers! “Anywhere along Blake Street between 17th and 27th streets would be a good place to view it,” says Nelson Laux, concierge director at The Seasons of Cherry Creek.

This second annual celebration of all things Irish will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday at The Curtis in the Four Square Ballroom, which has an outdoor patio, built-in bar and a fire pit. Air Dubai is the headliner and DJ Rockstar Aaron will be spinning Irish rock and today’s hits. General Admission tickets ($35) get partygoers get all-you-can-drink Coors Light, a cash bar and unlimited bar food! VIP tickets ($50) also get you admittance at noon, a commemorative mug and St. Paddy’s swag. 

Runnin’ of the Green

Burn those empty calories you’ve consumed during this 7K on Sunday, March 15. Pets and strollers are welcome in the final wave of runners! The race begins at 17th and Wazee in LoDo in front of Union Station. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 10:15 a.m.
