Host The Best Broncos Bowl Bash Ever

Here at RedPeak, we’ve got Super Bowl fever– bad.

But can you blame us? When our beloved Broncos take the field at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, it’ll be just the seventh time they’ve played in The Big Game!

We know many of you will be hosting Super Bowl parties, so we thought we’d share some recipes and games sure to make your festivities a lotta fun. We’re just nice like that.

First up: The Eats.

We love the idea of  nacho bar because who doesn’t love nachos?

For the foodies out there, we found a fancy jalapeno popper recipe (complete with sweet & spicy apricot dipping sauce) you’ve got to try. Because we know the thought of serving food that comes in a cardboard box makes you shudder.

What You Need:

For the poppers–

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup grated pepper jack cheese (or monterray jack, mozzarella, or cheddar)
  • 14-16 jalapenos, depending on size

  • 2 TBSP milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs (or gluten-free alternative)

  • 1 tsp. sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • pinch of cayenne
  • pinch of black pepper
  • cooking spray

For the dipping sauce–

  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger powder

Next up: Drinks

Beer is the standard Bowl beverage, but why not mix it up a little?

In honor of Buffalo Bill Cody (whose final resting place is Lookout Mountain in Golden), we bring you the Buffalo Bill cocktail. Bill started drinking this after doctors told him to keep his alcohol consumption to one drink a day. Seriously.

What You Need:

  • 2-3 oz apple juice (or hard cider if you really want to pack a punch)
  • 2-3 oz (equal part) bourbon

Pour into a short rocks glass over ice, stir and enjoy!
