The Pump and Dump: A Politically Incorrect Comedy Show and Night Out For Once Though this popular show is usually targeted at mothers in need of a break from the kiddos, the show’s creator, Shayna Ferm, is doing a performance tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe that’s dedicated to dads. Showtime is 9 p.m. and doors open at 7:30 p.m. Balcony and floor seats are available, but VIP tickets ($30) will get you preferential seating and a pre-show cocktail reception.

Denver Comic Con This three-day event returns to the Colorado Convention Center, and features the best in comics, sci-fi and fantasy TV shows, movies, Japanese animation, cosplay, gaming and toys. An inaugural Hall of Games will give developers a place to display their games, game ideas and books. Plus, two rooms will be set aside for developers to geek out with peers and gamers. Oh, and this year’s guest list is unreal: Steven Amell, Levar Burton, Julie Newmar, William Shatner, Marina Sirtis, Adam West and more.

Juneteenth Music Festival Juneteenth is one of the oldest known celebrations commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, and Denver’s festivities not only memorialize freedom, but also aim to strengthen ties between the city, the historic Five Points neighborhood and its neighbors. An annual parade (with a first-ever float competition) kicks off the event at 10 a.m. at Manual High School. The fest also includes a Battle of the Bands, a car show, and an interactive kids play area.

Cosplay After Dark At this Denver Comic Con after party, your costume could win you a $1,000 cash prize! Details HERE. Music will be provided by German pop synth sensation Total Ghost and DJ Mark Andrew of Mix 100, and aerialists and pyro performers will provide the entertainment. Pre-sale tickets are $10-$15; tickets at the door will cost you $15-$20.

Ink Monstr Poolside Summer Series This event is back for six days this summer and now it comes back stronger than ever, they improved in so many ways, now there was a fence from added to sides of the pool which will make it a lot safer ! Fear not: the Slip ‘N Slide makes a return, and organizers say the man-made beach will be even bigger. Live tattooing, lawn games, a dunk tank, and a photo booth are also in the mix.
