Denver Weekend Rundown: Valentine’s Day 2014 Edition

We know Valentine’s Day is more than a week away, but it’s never too early to make plans. Whether you’re crazy in love or a single lady (or a single gentleman), the RedPeak staff has you covered!

Check out this list of unique Valentine’s Day events happening in Denver on February 14.

Love & Lust This Colorado Symphony concert features a performance of Mendlessohn’s Concerto in E minor and Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde. A pre-party in the rings of Boettcher Concert Hall includes a glass of wine, chocolate and a red rose for your date for just $15.

Wine, Whiskey and… Love. Lust. Friendship. You fill in the blank for this specialty tasting hosted by A Bottled Affair. Each couple gets a 3-ounce pour from five red wines and a 1-ounce pour from five whiskies, including a small batch bourbon and a single malt scotch. Make sure to nosh on the complimentary nibbles and small plates. This tasting should not be attempted on an empty stomach.

3 Blind Dates Denver’s only unscripted romantic comedy kicks off its second season today. The show follows three single women through a speed dating session, and the audience selects which guy goes on a date with each lady. The Valentine’s Day Singles Mingle kicks off beforehand at 6 p.m., with “love potion” drink specials. Leave your email address and you could win a singles party pack that includes 10 VIP 3 Blind Dates tickets and a bottle of champagne good for a future performance.

Valentine’s Day ’80s Dance Party This dance party at 3 Kings Tavern features live music by Onemana, DJs Scott Dammit and Rev.45, a costume contest with prizes from Fifty Two 80′s, and drink specials all night long. No cover!

Mary Me & Ski Free Mountaintop Matrimony If you’re looking for a non-traditional venue for gettin’ hitched or renewing your vows, this is it! For the 23rd year, couples will exchange vows at noon outside Loveland Ski Area’s Ptarmagin Roost Cabin; elevation: 12,050 feet. At the end of the 30-minute mass wedding, all participants and guests will ski or snowboard down the mountain for a casual afterparty with cake, music and prizes.
