Denver Weekend Rundown: Sept. 26-28
Looking for things to do in Denver this weekend? The RedPeak staff has your back.
Here’s a list of our top event picks for September 26-28.
Denver Beer Fest Tap into the city’s beer culture with this annual fest that features more than 300 beer-related events at local breweries, restaurants and tap houses, including tastings, tours, midnight beer breakfasts, and a street party with bands and food trucks. The fun runs through Saturday, October 4!
Taste of Iceland Experience Icelandic food, music and a variety of cultural activities at this four-day event. Perhaps the coolest thing (heh) about Taste of Iceland is its digital scavenger hunt. Keep your eyes peeled at Rioja, 3 Kings Tavern, Bistro Vendôme and elsewhere around Denver to discover secrets about Iceland. Whenever you find one, share it on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags #IcelandSecret and #TasteofIceland. At the end of the weekend, organizers will pick a secret sharer and send them an Icelandic prize pack!
80s Prom Fado Irish Pub’s annual ’80s prom is back! Celebrate the decade of decadence with a costume contest, photo station, live music from That Eighties Band, and drink specials all night long. The party starts at 9 p.m.
Denver Animated Pixelshow Presented by The Emerging Filmmakers Project, this show features the best professional, independent and student-produced animated shorts from the city’s large and diverse animation community.
