Denver Weekend Rundown: Sept. 19-21

Looking for things to do in Denver this weekend? The RedPeak staff has your back.

Here’s a list of our top event picks for September 19-21.

Oktoberfest Modeled after the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, this six-day event includes music and dance, entertainment for all ages, and bier— lots of it! The fun goes down on Larimer Street between 20th and 22nd streets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week and next. General admission is free, but VIP packages are available for $65-$175.

StapletOM Yoga & Music Festival This new family friendly event is for seasoned yogis and newbies alike. In addition to various yoga classes, this two-day fest on The Green in Stapleton will include an area for kids’ yoga, live music, beer and wine.

The Denver Flea It’s baaack. Thousands of people flocked to the inaugural Denver Flea in May, prompting a second go-round. But this time its organizers are teaming with TheBigWonderful (at 26th and Lawrence) to host a joint event celebrating the finest Colorado-made goods, beer and food. Admission is still free, but attendees can expect more vendors, booze and grub. RSVP online and get a free craft beer or roasted coffee!

Color Fun Fest 5K Held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, this race marries the Holi Festival and the electronic dance movement to create bright daytime and (with the help of black lights) glowing nighttime color runs. Click HERE to watch the official event video. Online registration ($60) closes today at 5 p.m., so get to it!

Riot Fest Today’s your last chance to catch this three-day music fest at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (where turf will be added to the parking to create a farm atmosphere). In addition to performances by headliners Weezer, The Flaming Lips, The Cure, Jane’s Addiction and Wu-Tang Clan, showgoers can expect county fair-like activities, including a pie eating contest, apple bobbing and carnival rides.
