Brew at the Zoo Experience the Denver Zoo after hours! From 7-10 p.m., enjoy samples from more than 40 Colorado breweries and 20 local restaurants. Live entertainment and access to the zoo (of course) are also included in the festivities. Tickets are $85. And hurry. They’re only available until 5 p.m. on Sept. 11!
Denver Retrospective 1985-1995— Photographs by Kim Allen This exhibition features 40 architectural photographs documenting Denver’s stunning transformation in recent years. The photographer says he chose to document Denver in the ’80s, when the city was at an “absolutely pivotal precipice of its soulful rebirth.” The exhibition is on view at Von Tornow Gallery through Sept. 27.
Snowboard on the Block Festival Spanning two blocks in Downtown Denver, this festival is packed with attractions and events geared toward the snowboard community, including a rail jam, premieres of more than 20 films, and live music on three stages. The performance lineup features The Misfits, Mobb Deep, Speedwolf, Victory Heights and more. The fest kicks off at 11 a.m. and ends around 9 p.m. General admission is $15 in advance and $25 the day of. VIP admission is $45.
End of the World Pub Crawl Hell has frozen over and released flesh eating zombies! Your challenge: crawl through all participating venues in the Dead Zone while avoiding the zombies trying to take your life. Do so, and you could win prizes. Up for it? Register for this event held on Larimer Street between 20th and 21st from 1-5 p.m. Your $37.92 fee covers the cost of two beverages, and an End of the World Pub Crawl T-shirt , sunglasses and koozie.
Art Out Loud This fundraiser for the Denver Art Society includes lives performances by Ian Cooke, Sawmill Joe, and ATOMGA, as well as a silent auction, raffle prizes, a VIP lounge, and a kids art corner. It will be held at the DAS cooperative on Santa Fe Drive from 2-10 p.m. Tickets are on sale now!
