Salida Art Walk This three-day event −now in its 21st year− celebrates arts in the area with exhibits, performances, demonstrations, and receptions. A silent auction featuring works by local artists begins Friday at 5 p.m. and continues through Saturday until noon at the Steamplant Annex.
Weed Dating Aimed at aspiring food producers interested in sustainability and urban farming, this two-hour speed dating event is held outdoors at Sprout City Farms. Light refreshments and conversation starters are provided.
Outdoor Circuit Training Held at Wash Park, this group workout will focus on full body functional movement and increasing cardio endurance. All RedPeak residents are welcome to attend. The cost of the class is $10. Register online or sign up the day of.
Paws at the Park Watch a lacrosse game with your favorite four-legged friend at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, where the Denver Outlaws will take on the Charlotte Hounds. Tickets must be pre-purchased, and attendees bringing a dog must sign a waiver. Five dollars from the sale of each ticket will be donated to MaxFund, a local no-kill shelter.
Warped Tour More than 70 artists, including Forever the Sickest Kids, Hawthorne Heights and The Ataris, are slated for this year’s show at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Concertgoers can stay cool with free filtered water at refilling stations throughout the venue, and parents who escort teens to the show can take advantage of the Reverse Daycare Tent, which is air conditioned and stocked with cold beverages.
