Denver Weekend Rundown: July 26-28
Looking for things to do in Denver this weekend? The RedPeak staff has your back. Here’s a list of our top picks for July 26-28.
Final Friday Music Walk & Urban Bazaar Art galleries, bars, retailers, restaurants and offices along Larimer and Walnut streets in the River North Art District will host more than 25 bands, musicians and performers during this event. Final Friday wristbands (valued at $50) get attendees discounts at participating venues.
Cheeseman Park Art Fest More than 100 juried artists and craftsmen have been invited to showcase their work at this inaugural two-day event. Attendees can browse the works of potters, painters, jewelers, sculptors, glass artists, and more. The festivities also include musical performances, specialty food sampling, creative demonstrations, and activities for kids.
Colorado Dragon Boat Festival This event is one of the largest Pan-Asian festivals in the country. Attendees can enjoy traditional and cultural performances, educational exhibits and demonstrations, as well as shopping and authentic dining. And there will be two days of dragon boat racing, of course.
The Zombie Run As the name implies, this isn’t your typical morning run. Participants will encounter a flipped tanker, a military-controlled apocalypse zone and a vaccination hydration center, and have to flee zombies who are all over the race course during the last two kilometers. A quarantine party −complete with food trucks, a zombie makeover station, and photo stations− follows.
South Broadway Barstool Open The Irish Rover Pub, Punch Bowl Social, Dougherty’s Pub, Blue Ice, Sobo 151, Skylark Lounge, 3 Kings Tavern, and Gary Lee’s Motor Club and Grub are hosting this miniature golf bar crawl. Attendees will set out to conquer 9 putt-putt holes at the eight participating bars.
