Colorado Music Hall of Fame Induction Concert The CMHOF is hosting a concert at the Paramount Theatre featuring performances by members of this year’s class of inductees, including the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco and Firefall. There will also be a tribute to Stephen Stills/Manassas. Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets start at $39.
National Western Stock Show A livestock show, a rodeo, horse shows, an art exhibit and sale, kids activities— this annual event has something for just about everyone! Catch it now through January 25. For a complete event schedule, click HERE. Tickets range from $10-$19 at the gate.
Mark Mothersbaugh: Myopia You know the song “Whip It”? Well, Mark Mothersbaugh is one of the founding members of Devo— the band responsible for that ’80s classic. Get to know his artwork, which includes drawings, photographs, prints, sculptures, rugs and videos, with this exhibit at MCA Denver. The show runs through April 12, 2015.
Denver Zoo Free Days Today’s the first Free Day of the year! If you’ve been meaning to visit, obviously now is a good time to do it. The zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals, including rare amur leopards and Komodo dragons! Admission gates open at 10 a.m. and the grounds close at 5 p.m.
Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza Held from 2-6:30 p.m. at the Denver Coliseum, this event is filled with cultural pageantry. Expect bull riders, trick roping, Mariachis and the Paso de la Muerte, better known as the “Death Jump.”
