Denver Weekend Rundown: Dec. 20-22

Looking for things to do in Denver this weekend? The RedPeak staff has your back. Here’s a list of our top picks for December 20-22.

12 1/2 Days of Xmas Live! MCA Denver invites you to celebrate the holidays with the city’s “weirdest performers,” including dancers, singers and artists, for 12 1/2 days beginning today. Performances will be held in the museum’s atrium every weekday at 5 p.m. and every weekend at noon. Take in a show and then have a look around the galleries. All performances are free with museum admission and day drinking is encouraged.

Holidayhaus Designed with last-minute shoppers in mind, this market at Powerhaus Studio features a variety of locally sourced goods, as well as holiday drinks. The market is open 6-10 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. tomorrow. Those looking to be entertained while they browse should note that the Mark Putt Explosion will perform at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

Winter Solabration Held at the Sons of Italy hall, this event celebrates Christmas and the Solstice with  juggling, storytelling, caroling and traditional American community dances, all of which are taught on site so everyone can join in the fun! And make sure to bring a tasty snack or dessert for the potluck.

Santa Claus at Larimer Square Santa will be parking his sleigh at the Starbucks at Larimer Square from 12-5 p.m. today and on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Visits to St. Nick are free and open to the public (even for those of us on the Naughty List).

Denver Christkindl Market Today’s the last chance to visit this market, which takes its cues from a centuries old German tradition and is held downtown at Skyline Park. Visitors can enjoy music, holiday lights and food, and browse the wares of old world style vendors.
