Denver County Fair The third annual event kicks off today at the National Western Complex. This year, attendees can roam 14 interlocking indoor pavilions, each with its own exhibitors, vendors, stage demonstrations, entertainment and open competitions. Other changes include three-day passes (Adults: $10; Kids/Seniors/Military: $5; Family 4-pack: $25) and lower parking rates ($5).
Art in the Park Held at the La Alma/Lincoln Park Ampitheater, this Café Cultura event has an open mic the second Friday of every month. Performers include No Mo’ Violence Dance Troupe. A $3 donation is recommended, but no one is turned away.
AIDS Walk Colorado The Rocky Mountain Region’s largest and most successful HIV and AIDS fundraiser, this 5K at Cheesman Park draws more than 8,000 people from throughout the state to raise money for services for HIV/AIDS clients of Colorado AIDS Project and more than 20 other AIDS service organizations.
Cherry Creek North Food & Wine This event celebrates Cherry Creek North’s diverse dining establishments. Live music, an open bar and artisan spirits are included in the evening’s culinary experience. The first 100 guests to register (VIP and general admission) each receive one complimentary Stella Artrois Chalice and VIP goody bag.
